The cruise ship has a dedicated shopping area where you can buy knick knacks, jewellery and duty free items.

It's made to look like an upmarket shopping centre on land, although you can tell that the floor is fake when you look at it carefully.

In terms of prices and availability - there were a couple of good deals on jewellery, but most of it was overpriced.

The range of duty free alcohol was horrendous, and the stuff that they did have was not very good in general, and the prices, although better than back home, weren't particularly great for duty free.

We waited until we got to Noumea to buy duty free, but even then the range was pretty poor, although the prices were better.
