Dan our waiter

Each table in the main dining room is assigned three waiters.

The two waiters who will do most of the work are the main waiter - Dan in this picture - and an assistant waiter, which is a more junior position.

Then there is a head waiter (dressed in a red jacket) who comes around to check that everything is going well but doesn't do as much of the legwork.

From the statistics given in one of the talks, you could work out that the average staff member has been on the boat / with the cruise line for three years.

Our waiter for instance had signed a 6 or 7 month contract.

The staff work hard - working almost every day and long hours.

They are very professional and offer very good service and are cheery.
